Most Beloved Dogs (in Statistical Order)


 

 



Shih Tzu

This is a pet reared by monks in Tibet. It's a cross between Pekingese and Tibetan mountain dogs and/or ancient Chinese breed which has a short muzzle and long dense coat. 
From the towering mountain trails of Tibet, it was introduced to the courts of emperor (as believed dating back from peasant-turned-to-emperor Zhu Yuanzhang). 
How it was known all over the globe dated back after the World War II.  From China, Shih Tzu was introduced to Europe by merchants, traders, soldiers and travellers and eventually was brought home as a prized pet by American armies.
Shih Tzu is a very ideal pet for people who have allergies since it has hypoallergenic coat. Not only that it looks so regal, but also it proves less supervision since it just stays within the corners of the room. Maintenance on its coat is a must, though; otherwise, you might just end up cutting its beautiful hair.




 

Poodles


Poodles hail from Germany.  They are very intelligent, if not, the most intelligent dog breed. They easily learn from simple household chores to a little more complexities of things if shown number of times.  They really have good retentive memory and be able to apply it as their own skill, either trained or observed.
Their coats are not naturally fluffy ball-shaped. It is just loved as a pet and to create sexiness and cuteness in them, owners found a cut that fits their glance to steal glances.


This old breed dog comes in three varieties: standard, miniature and toy.  Miniature and Toy poodles come from the ancient standard size. Science has its natural way of creating variations for one purpose or another.
It was originally trained to be a water dog for retrieving game fowl. Over the decades, it is then seen as versatile pet due to its sharpness to training, hence, a good companion.






Dachshunds




Do you ever wonder why hotdogs are such called?
'Blame it to Dachshunds not for anyhing else but the name.
In the 1950s, a German guild of butchers made huge sausages. One of the members, had a popular dachshund. In just a short period, sausages were popularly called "dachshund sausages."
Two of the guild members went to the United States and introduced these huge sausages. They are the first businessmen for hotdogs."
The etymology was developed when Harry Stevens, owner of a refereshment concessionaire and he who made doggies during baseball games, vendored "Get your red-hot dachshund sausages!"
Back to dachschunds, they are short-legged, elongated hound breed but fierce and nimble. Ultimately, they are loyal, mischievous, happy dogs.  Training is a challenge, however.







Bulldogs



Despite of their squashed, cantankerous wrinkly face, they are gentle and kind dog breed.  Bulldogs are good pets for the family since they are easily trained, can get along well with other pets and full of exuding energy.  They have a tendency to be lonely so much time can help to devote to themTheir flattened noses, however, make them susceptible to overheating in warm weat.  Anyway, they strivingly require attention.
Aside from being an excellent family pet, they also serve a dog guard, but do not generally attack people.





Boxers

It is a compact medium-sized short-haired brindled, fawn, white or red dog of a breed originating in Germany. Contrasting traits are known for it: it's used for dog fighting but it's also popularly known as an affectionate pet to the family. They love bonding with the family  and are very protective to them, but they also enthusiastically welcome visitors.
Boxers are the dog breed prone to blindedness.







Beagle

Beagles are the power-sniffers.  Of all the breed of dogs, they have the excellent nose. They easily track a scent and will follow it. So, 'better yet to confine them in an area with borders, otherwise, in a split of second, you would be looking for them.
Beagles are also one of the least maintained breeds. As long as they have space to roam, and lot to howl, everything goes smoothly.









Golden Retrievers

It is a dog with powerful appearance. They have long hair and tail which never curled nor  carried between their legs.  That speaks of their confidence.  The breed is made for water retrieval or fun. Other than that, they are good companion of the blind and superb hunter due to the blend of their coat with the environment.
Golden Retrievers do not attack people but for burglars, they howl loudly as a sign of unwelcomed visitors.






Yorkshire Terriers

The long-silky hair of Yorshire Terrier needs regular grooming.  This breed is a good house pet because of its size and its coat.  It occasionally sheds of.
Yorshire is also an ancient breed whose origin in not known.  But it became a famous pet among English.
They are mainly indoor dogs who require less space to roam. It's an ideal pet for small houses.












German Shepherd
First breeds of dogs commercially trained as police, guard and military dogs are the German Shepherd.


Because of its stature, well-muscle build and appearance, this dog has been picked to police. And almost always, it gives a first and lasting impression that it's a strong dog.  Indeed, the breed is naturally aggressive so considerable time of training is mandatory to achieve proper character.
Having German Shepherd is not really ideal so long as the socialization with family starts from birth.


 




Labrador Retriever
Labraddor Retreiver is originally from Newfoundland, Canada used for hunting and was  brought to the United States. Like all other dogs, they are excdptional family dog, being affectionate,  patient sweet and pleasant.  They have a friendly temperament well-suitable to active youngster.
They also need muscular exercise for health reason since they are prone to hip and elbow dysplasia.
As how it was meant before for fowl game, they love water.
Constant brushing is also needed, though, they do not shred often.
